Ísafjörður is home to a great many beautiful things. The mountains. The sea. The pure, white snow. The cute, old, little houses downtown. It is also a site for the yearly Aldrei fór ég suður rock festival, which takes place every Easter and is attended by locals and foreigners alike, all eager and ready to partake and participate in a festival of music and good cheer.
The Band of Reason played off-venue in a venerable old house called "Gúttó", which was the main gathering house and dance hall in the town for decades before housing a printing press, among other things. The house is currently owned by an American couple who fell in love with the Westfjords some years ago. This is the third year that Butch and Michelle open up their house for musicians and visitors and the house was packed!
